Greece - First Sighting

The flight from Frankfurt to Athens was about two and one half hours.  We both slept most of the way. We also were not sitting together and both had window seats.  When the a captain came on the intercom to announce we had begun our descent, I woke up and looked out the window to a beautiful view of sea and rugged land.  The scenery was fantastic!  Below is my favorite photo of the set I took with my iPhone.  What a great introduction to Greece!

Once in the Athens airport we were very pleased to see our checked bag arrive as number three on the luggage belt.  We had wondered if it would make it.   How did we know we were in Greece once on the ground?  The signs tell the story.
